When Jesus died, he buried with Him death, disease and every power - TopicsExpress

When Jesus died, he buried with Him death, disease and every power of the enemy. When He rose, newness of life began for those who will acknowledge Him as Lord and Savior of their lives. So, if you and I have professed Jesus as Lord of our lives, we can no longer be held down by that which has been buried and destroyed. We are not waiting to be delivered; we have been delivered. The devil can no longer operate in our lives because he has been defeated. The business is finished. The work is done. Jesus is now seated at the right hand of God expecting us to walk in conscious awareness of this victory that is already ours. He not only won this victory on our behalf, He has made us capable to walk in this victory by equipping us with His Spirit, His Name, His blood, His Word and an innumerable company of angels, that we might fight the good fight of faith. Jesus became victorious on our behalf so we can launch an offensive on the kingdom of darkness, as David did towards Goliath, not cower in fear in our camp playing defense, like the children of Israel. If I am still held down by the powers of hell, then, that is my business not Jesus’. I have allowed that to happen. I have chosen to give the devil and his cohorts an inch. That would be a shame because that which has been rendered powerless should not overpower me. I shortchange myself if I live a defeated life. You shortchange yourself if you allow life to live you instead of you living life. We nail Jesus to the cross over and over again if we do not walk in the victory His death and resurrection has already secured for us. So, what does He require of you, o man? To know who you are in Christ, to walk in that knowledge and to stay unabashedly committed to His will (John 19:30; 2 Corinthians 5:17; Luke 10: 18-19; Mark 12:29-31; Luke 11:28).
