When challenged by Jennifer Stinson Manifold to post 5 pics that make me feel beautiful, my first reaction was, I will NEVER post 5 pics of myself because frankly no picture of myself has made me feel beautiful. But then I really started thinking about what makes me feel beautiful. And If I lost everything, where would I find beauty? My husband makes me feel beautiful because he knows the ugliness that goes down to the bone and still loves me!! I feel beautiful when I have a big beautiful dress on! I feel beautiful when I fix my hair! I feel beautiful when I portray someone who is strong and heroic. But these things only last for the moment. Stripped away from me....I feel beautiful when Im serving others. I feel beautiful when Im smiling and encouraging others. I feel beautiful when Im fulfilling the tasks and purposes God has set before me. I feel beautiful when a stressful situation hits and I respond graciously. I feel beautiful when someone is unkind and I respond graciously. I feel beautiful when Im hanging out with people who are beautiful of heart and soul....like the one who challenged me to this task and like the ones Im going to challenge to do the same.
