When going thru immigration at the Liberia airport last week, the officer looked at my passport, asked for proof that I was leaving (which I provided), then got another officer to tell me that he was putting a stamp in my book and in the system and that if I left the country without filing for residency, they would not let me back in. They did not do this to my daughters passport. We have lived here for 1.5 years, our kids go to school here, and we have left every 90 days as per the rules. We did not file because we wanted to be forced to travel and because we have 4 kids and it will be very costly (rather use the money to travel!). Anyone else have this happen? Anyone know if they can do this? I do not know if I can get all the paperwork done in the next 90 days on top of it all! Any advice? Here is a photo of the stamp.....
