When it comes to Coronal holes, the intensity of impact is entirely dependent on the gravitational loops on the Solar surface. The image below from (gong.nso.edu/data/magmap/movie.html) provides a detailed image of the field lines. As you can see there is a large central disk opening, however there is no Coronal hole at this location. The Southern Coronal hole is pictured in Red and the Blue lines would indicate the magnetics in the area are intact.
