When you watch Maximus walk, it will tug at your heart. This sweet 12yo miniature pinscher entered Baldwin Park shelter in Los Angeles as a stray on November 26. I met him because he was barking a hello to get my attention. As you can see in this video, his back legs are bow-legged (to the point of looking somewhat deformed), but he does not let it bother him. He got around his kennel and in and out of his bed just fine. I only saw him stumble once, and he got right up and kept going. There are no medical notes related to his legs -- at least not that I have been able to find out, and I have asked multiple times. He has tartar and may have a heart murmur, which is common for an older dog. Maximus is super friendly and has a great energy. He does not let his physical condition or his surroundings get him down.
