Whenever I watch a show, a commercial, a movie, listen to the radio, etc. I think of all the people that are getting paid or even rich. The ad salesman, DJ, station owner, Pandora stockholders, attorneys, car salesman, movie directors, gaffers, makeup artists, etc...all except the musicians. Music is just vibrating air and should be free? The music makes as much of an impact on a commercial, movie, radio ad, etc as anything else. How come everybody else gets paid and not the musicians? Heres a gal that should be a billionaire and I bet she isnt. We need to reinvent how we support the arts and artists. For the amount of work, dedication, talent and expense it takes to become a great musician they should be paid well or at least fairly. We just steal, share, burn, youtube, stream, and sample away. Its a great injustice and needs to change.
