Whew -- July has been a whirlwind! We started the month off by finishing up vacation with our niece Kate, Michael & Eric by following them back to Ohio. Home, sweet home! We had a wonderful home-cooked dinner and great visit with Ricks brother, Bob, Mary & Erin. Then off to see Mom! She is doing great in her new (since December) home in Delaware. It was so nice to be able to sit and visit with her face to face. Then we had our great niece and nephew, Jolie & Sam for a week. What great kids! Their parents had a great anniversary trip in Cancun. We managed to keep the kids busy and we all survived! We had a family campout/cookout at Delaware State Park the last weekend we had the kids. Both of my (Janice) brothers were there -- I hope it was a good time had by all! We are now in Wilmington, OH until Monday. Yesterday was a busy day. It started with Ricks dental appt., then we had a good visit with our dear friend Natalie. It was great to catch up, visit with the kids, and she even made sandwiches for us for lunch! Then, onto the funeral home. Tragically, a high school classmate of Janices and a longtime former co-worker of Ricks was murdered by her boyfriend who then committed suicide. Very sad, but we were thankful to be in the area and express our condolences to her family. You just never know. . . Then, last night we had dinner with Kate, Michael & Eric after taking a tour of their soon to be new home. On the way home from dinner we saw the most beautiful Ohio sunset. I tried to get a picture, but it just doesnt get it. Between family, friends and that sunset. . . I know Im home.
