Whew finally had a moment from this busy day to post. Got a call in from Wareham ACO about a stray cat clearly pregnant and injured. We met up at Marion Animal Hospital who got us right in to treat this poor girl. It looked like she got trapped somewhere and something ripped a hole in her side. She was definitely pregnant and so far along that she could not go under anesthesia to close up the injury, luckily Dr. Suh was able to clean the area and close up a good portion of it while the kitty was wide awake. She was so sweet and purred the whole time while in the exam room. The vet techs said she didnt even bother to fight, it was as if she knew she was being saved. She will have her babies in a safe environment and will get all the love and nourishment she desperately needs. Once she has her babies (which should be any day now) we can fully treat her injury but for now we are treating her with a mild antibiotic and making sure she is comfy. Thank you Friends of Wareham animals for saving this baby!
