While the comment was definately in bad taste, I would have to disagree with most people that say the comment in and of itself is Racist, even though the party itself is known to be quite devided on Race Lines and has several very outspoken Racist Leaders. The man is getting flack over stating a true demographic number and that is not Racist. As a Republican he of course would only only want those people voting that would be voting in favor of his canadates. Therefore it makes perfect since that a comment like this would be made and acceptable that they would not be encouraging the genral African American popultion to get out and vote since 90% of the demographic will noting for them. On the the o would make perfect sense for the Democrac recruting voters from this demographic, since the demographic overwhelmingly supports the Democratic Party. As much as some people try to make math about race it simply is not. It of course would have been more politically astute for him not to have opened his mouth or even better if he said his party would only be focusing on black voters from the Black republican Caucaus since they would be more likely to suuport the GOP Canidates being from that party themselves. Sometimes a misspoken quote should be taken for what it is, instead of making more out of a stupid mistake and blowing it out portion. While true blowing things out of proportion is a typical GOP Tacticthing is do you rying to make a point.
