While the media and fans continue to rip Jurgen Klinnsman apart for cutting Landon Donovan from the WC roster I cant help but make some similar connections to what happened with Herb Brooks and the 1980 US hockey team. Everybody questioned Brooks after leaving out some of the best available players for a bunch of really no names that werent given much of a shot to do anything and went on to win gold and take down the soviets. This feels like a very similar situation with Jurgen and this years WC team. Weve been long overdue for a sports moment like 1980 and we are going to win the WC one of these years.
