While walking past the library after lunch,a Kurta clad Westerner - TopicsExpress

While walking past the library after lunch,a Kurta clad Westerner stopped me midway. She said she is a research scholar from Germany and is collecting some data from students in India, so I was told to fill a survey form. Few minutes later when I gave over the forms back to her,she was handing out a 100 rupee note to me. She saidYou have earned it. I stood Shocked with the gesture, since it is my first ever encounter where one earns by filling a mere few pages. I left refusing the pay check , but this incident left by many questions. # Is this done everywhere or it is a third world country only applicable tool? # Have people turned that unhelpful such that we have to price tags for even these small gestures?
