While winding our way through the Twin Cities a little while ago on the way to Eau Claire, Howie was suddenly seized with a non-specific hyperdrive boost. He ran around the truck, leaped onto my shoulder (he never does that) while I was driving at full speed, bellowed in my ear (meow actually, I may be exaggerating) and then made a leap for the upper bunk. He failed spectacularly and landed with a thump on the bed, then retreated to my pillow, licking his wounds. My diagnosis: derby fever.
