Whilst going through some of the notes that kept me going through - TopicsExpress

Whilst going through some of the notes that kept me going through the M(Phil) research and other publication work over the past couple of years, came across a little note I had written to myself (and Dr Redhead). Julian Lennon- Say Youre Wrong. Delved back into it and remembered that it was about the video that was filmed for his song that was on the Valotte Album, from 1984-5. (Simon Houghton etc. that is 30 years ago now)! I was over in England back in 1994, and visited the SVR on a study trip, plus a few other of the Great Museums, and collecting institutions over there, as well. Was talking to an Irish Historian, with a Scotsman, and an Englishman, on a west of England station with a pub nearby, (the makings of a good joke there?), and somehow or other we got onto music etc. Anyhow, they mentioned how in January, 1985, the video for Say Youre Wrong was filmed around the Severn Valley area. Bitterly cold, lots of snow, and how it also featured a classic 1980s girls hairdo. Anyhow, some searching later turned up the video. All that snow! Might mention to Dr Redhead we should consider a trip (study tour) to that part of the world in the not too far off future... I thinks the video had for its inspiration Charles Dickens The Signalman, by the way... https://youtube/watch?v=_NHEV7VH5EA
