Whilst pondering the sad death of the actor Maximillian Schell, and noticing how everyone is talking about his gloriously hammy turn in the abysmal The Black Hole rather than his Oscar for Judgement at Nuremburg, it also occured to me that his character in the former has apparently named his robot after the actor who plays himself (the robot is called Maximillian, if youve had the sense to avoid the film). Which is really metatextual, or something...Im now wishing that C3PO and R2D2, instead of being given postcodes, could have both been called Alec (Camp Alec and Dusty Bin Alec, perhaps, to avoid confusion). Actually, I like to think that if George Lucas reads this, they probably will be by the time the 3D versions are released...Because George Lucas follows me, you know - I remember, years back, telling him about this idea I had for a great character named JaJa Binks...Right, using Facebook to free-associate again, time to stop it...
