White-eyed Viero South Texas This location was Goose Island State Park. Rob Tappana and I shot there together a couple afternoons. Fairly nice. 2 water features but here is the story. The area to shoot from is fairly narrow but has a nice table in the shade. The shade is created by an oak tree. Nice. No not really. I dont know the species but there were hundreds if not thousands of caterpillars that drop off on you. The didnt bite thank goodness. You know how we all become Karate experts when we walk into a spider web? Well with these guys you would feel them crawling on your skin and without thinking you would automatically reach up and wipe them off. Thats a bad plan as the hair on those buggers backs sting you and raise a welt and then itch. There was a local there that had a cure. She carried around a bottle of white vinegar with a sprayer. Nearly instant relief.
