Who Funded the Yes Campaign? Here you go. By Councilman Bare 14 JUN Recently 13% of city registered voters cast ballots in support of a referendum that amended the City of Pensacola Charter to remove the two at-large seats from the city council. The campaign to pass the measure was funded by 14 different contributors between the dates of May 21st and May 31st. Who are these people/businesses? It is no surprise that several of them made contributions to my opponent in the last election. One of them is a beer distributor, one is a multi-millionaire who owns several businesses, one is a county commissioner and several are local attorneys. Four of them are located at the same address. Here is the complete list: Jewelers Trade Shop – $500 Gene Valentino (County Commissioner who also supported one of his employees who ran for an at-large seat in 2012) - $100 T. Shane Row – $250 John H Adams – $100 J. Chad Bonner (works for Lewis Bear Company) - $500 David M. Bear (works for Lewis Bear Company) – $500 The Lewis Bear Company – $500 Kia Autosport (supported my opponent for an at-large seat in the last election) – $500 Robert Kerrigan – $1,000 Marina Management Corporation (Ray Russenberger, 1901 Cypress St.) - $500 The Oar House Restaurant (Ray Russenberger) - $500 Seville Harbour Inc. (Ray Russenberger, 1901 Cypress St.) – $500 Network Paging Corp of TN (Ray Russenberger, 1901 Cypress St.) – $500 701 Palafox LLC (Ray Russenberger, 1901 Cypress St.) – $2,500 As far as expenditures go, there were only three as of June 4th. Two of them went to the company owned by former Mayoral employee Travis Peterson and the other went to Ms. Deb Corbin who was very active in lobbying for the Maritime Y initiative. Expenditures are as follows: Impact Strategies (Travis Peterson for design, printing, mailing, postage for mailers) – $6341 Impact Strategies (Travis Peterson for postage for absentees, yard signs, design services) – $1,380 Deb Corbin (campaign services) – $500 If you would like to see the complete document as reported to the Supervisor of Elections, click the following link: Committee: Yes for Smaller Government
