Who Is Jesus? Hebrews Chapters 2 and 3 We should not neglect our salvation. The messages the angels brought were of utmost importance so how much more important is the message when brought by the King of Kings and Lord of Lord’s. There is no other way we can be saved but by faith and believing Jesus. Jesus himself warned about this. People who refused to accept his words would suffer an even worse fate than Sodom (Matthew 10:15). And he explained the reason in Matthew 11:23. God had done great and wonderful things by his Son. If the people in Sodom had seen such things, they would have decided to obey God. (vs 1-3) Mormonism says that “after all we can do” Jesus makes up the rest. This is false doctrine and is a dangerous belief that can cause a person to go to hell. Jesus does it all because we CAN’T period. God bears witness of the Son through signs and wonders that only God can do. He wants people to know his son so they can be saved. (Vs 4) Jesus has always been God but became a man in order to save mankind. The man spoken of in these verses is Jesus. Jesus gave man authority over the earth – over animals etc because he loves men so much. God made men lower than the angels but in the new heaven and new earth man will rule with Christ.
