Who wants to guess how many signatures it takes to change the world? I’m betting on 575. I recently posted, “NY Time’s Pulitzer Prize Winning author Matt Richtel has recently released a fascinating book titled A Deadly Wandering. The book ought to be a required read for all high school sophomores. Richtel masterfully intertwines a myriad a scientific data with a real life tragedy of a young man who made a life altering mistake. A mistake that tens of thousands of high school kids, businessmen, and soccer moms do every day. He sent a text while driving. A text that ended with two fatalities. Fatalities born from a young man that nearly no one would have thought possible. Richtel’s depiction of the scientific studies of UCSF neuroscientist Dr. Adam Gazzaley, University of Utah’s Dr. David Strayer, University of Connecticut’s Dr. David Greenfield and Yale University’s Dr. Nicholas A. Christakis should compel anyone who reads it to push strongly for a technological solution to end this deadly problem. Once you truly understand the primitive neurological high-jacking the cell phone has on our brains, no rational person could think otherwise.” I believe the book is so persuasive I purchased 575 copies. To add a personal touch I’m in the process of having all 575 books signed by the primary cast of characters in addition to Matt. Many, many special thanks go out to Jackie Furfaro, Leila O’Dell, Reggie Shaw, Terryl Warner, Dr. David Strayer, Dr. Adam Gazzaley and Matt himself. Once the signing is completed, I will be hand delivering them in DC to every member of Congress and select members of the FCC, DOT & Dept. of Education as well. If there is any other authoritative figure you believe should receive a copy of this book, please post here, call me, text me or send me an email.
