On the left you have one trader in Asia that as of last week mutilated this dog cutting the dogs throat while the dog is still alive. Just another statistic for the pet meat trade that harbors countless virus and infectious diseases. Now, before you all start picking at the Asian pet meat trade via the photograph on the left, take a look at the right. Yes we know these pictures are difficult to view however they need to be shown. On the right you have a stray dog that was stolen from the streets in Niger that borders Nigeria. Its estimated that some one million dogs every year are killed in Nigeria alone. Say No To Dog Meat and International Animal Rescue Foundation World Action South Africa last week finally acquired firm evidence that the majority of these dogs no longer just derive from Niger. South Africa, Kenya (DMT known), Namibia (DMT known), and Cameroon (DMT known)... are countries that we know dog meat traffickers and snatchers are working in. Pet dogs and strays that were once a common sight in Niger are no longer commonly viewed. Dogs have got to come from somewhere to feed Africas largest pet meat trading country - Nigeria. South Africa, Namibia, Kenya and Cameroon dog snatchers are illegally snatching dogs, trafficking them in the most horrifying conditions known over the borders into Nigeria. We know whom the traffickers are, who is allowing the trucks to cross freely over the borders, we know who is ordering the government in Jos and Lagos state to open a legal pet meat trade... So, Whats so special about Say No To Dog Meat...? Say No To Dog Meat is slowly stopping the traders in Asia and Africa. Probably not as fast as some but were slowly gaining pace. We are also working towards opening our first Pet and Wildlife Rescue and Rehabilitation Clinic in Viet Nam. The clinic will take dogs, cats and bush babies off the streets that traffickers would work to steal. Them dogs and cats and bush babies will be treated and where we can we will re-home them. (Bush meat animals will not be re-homed to the public), more rehabbed into the wild or to a sanctuary.. A second clinic is now being looked into within Niger. So not only are we helping in Viet Nam - pet meat central were also going to help in Africa, Niger. Why choose us to demonstrate? By choosing us to demonstrate your voice is heard not in one country but globally. 4th April 2015 at 10:00 am will see the worlds largest anti pet meat trade rally take place. Youre demonstration will be seen by media, press and ourselves pushing your voice, your message and your imagery, videos and more across the planet. By creating the planets first real anti pet meat demo we not only SAY NO TO DOG MEAT but we pave the way for laws to be changed, adopted and altered. Governments hate seeing masses of people creating world wide rallies. If change is not seen more rallies will be held every year until change is seen.
