Why do I love gardens and travel the world to see them? Is it the creative design and combinations of interesting plants (that were likely carried around the globe on wooden ships hundreds of years ago).....maybe the fact that different gardens offer a place of solitude from my on-stage worklife? Its in a garden that I can reflect on what Ive done, where Ive been and what I want to do next. I think the memories of gardening with my grandmothers comes out in places like this. Oh, and how could I forget the excitement of something new around every corner, oooh, the anticipation of it all.... could it be that gardens inspire and awe me with such grandeur that its hard to even comprehend it all? That about sums up my day.
