Why doesnt someone in Waterburys African American Community speak - TopicsExpress

Why doesnt someone in Waterburys African American Community speak up against the injustices being inflicted on our people by this tyrant of a mayor. I understand he has pressured some our elected officials and staff with threats of retaliation if they dare tell the truth about the ongoing corruption in this city. I dare this man to think he could put a Cross on the top of a hill and Holy Land seeking redemption after all the terror he has spread in our communities of color over the years. Did he think all of us were afraid of him and his badge? Well I have news for him there are many good people of all races, colors and creeds in this city and I am hearing from them as a former mayoral candidate that they appreciate my standing up to him because he spreads fear like a virus among our people. I understand that even during Mulcahy controversy he was interfering with the grievance process of the Board of Education where Erik Brown stands a great change of winning, you see fear has always been a tactic used against the people in politics but i promised myself after serving this country as a veteran that we as African Americans have paid our price for freedom over and over again. I maybe wrong but there is someone who sits on the people of education in this city I have great respect for and he is white and Irish so it aint always about race, as he calls it like he sees it. We in the African American community should applaud him for his courageous stand against this mayors pressure and thats Pat Hayes. We should also support Karen Harvey and Greg Hadley for the pressure they are under as minority representatives, in such a hostile environment where they are forced into corners by this so-called party of the people with a donkey as symbol. They must learn thats their integrity is most important just holding a position and that we are watching what they do every minute. This newspaper (RA) is notorious for setting us up and if anyone thinks that they can hide the truth, I have news for them they are not the only game in town. We know who the other two voters were on the Grievance Committee that was poised to set Erik Brown free until the mayor stepped in and stopped them!!
