Why dont car companys man up and put accessories shown in picture - TopicsExpress

Why dont car companys man up and put accessories shown in picture are part of standard equipment? Some of you may tell me there is some legal issue involved and all that. BUT I have seen quite a few ads in which the damn car had no extra accessory on it at all. Making you wonder if the wheels and doors were extra. I remember a Maruti Esteem ad from many years ago which mentioned the not part of legend and showed a car which was exactly as is in a show room. Ie in those days it had one RH mirror, steel wheels, no hubcaps, no fog lights, sun roof, carrier, in other words there was nothing extra on that car at all. Why couldnt Maruti have said that the car shown is photo is what you get did they thing that not part of was a mandatory inclusion? Couple of days back there was a Audi A4 front page ad which showed a front view of an Audi sporting German number plates. And the very very fine print which requires a magnifying glass not only mentioned that not part of it went on to say their car varied from country to country. I couldnt see anything extra on that image that wasnt on my friends recently bought A4.
