Why give YOGA a try: Yoga means union of mind, body and spirit ~ only go as far in any position as is comfortable, the more often you gently practice each movement each day, the greater the union. 1) Increased flexibility and reduced risk of injury. 2) Focused breathing and concentration makes it easier to relax and center the mind. 3) Focused energy and movements improve mind-body connection. 4) Greater strength and stamina. 5) Decreases muscle imbalance. 6) Better balance and stability. 7) Improved posture. Increased body awareness, as yoga requires you to contract and/or relax specific muscles as you stretch in each pose. 9) Reduces stress levels through focusing the mind in the moment and the movements rather than on external distractions. 10) Combines flexibility, strength training and balance.
