William And Kate To Visit US Next Month The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will spend three days in New York, visiting the 9/11 memorial and attending a basketball game. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge will visit the United States next month. William and Kate will travel to New York for a number of engagements from 7-9 December on behalf of the Royal Foundation, other charities with which they are closely associated and the UK Government. During their trip they will pay a visit to the National September 11 Memorial and Museum at the World Trade Center to pay their respects to those who died in the attacks there in 1993 and 2001. William will also spend a day in Washington DC, while the Duchess, who is pregnant with her second child, remains in New York. He will attend an anti-corruption conference at the World Bank to talk about a zero-tolerance approach to the transfer of illegal wildlife parts. While William is in Washington, Kate will visit a child development centre with the First Lady of New York City, Chirlane McCray, and attend a lunch hosted by the British Consul General to celebrate the achievements of the British community in the city. Also on the itinerary is a visit to an NBA basketball game to support the collaboration between the Royal Foundation, United for Wildlife and the NBA. The final event of the visit will be the University of St Andrews 600th Anniversary Dinner at New Yorks Metropolitan Museum of Art.
