Winter will arrive soon with accumulating snow and bitter cold...Temperatures will begin dropping this afternoon with rain changing to snow showers. Not much accumulation. A strong clipper type system will take aim at the area tomorrow night. The track isnt certain yet, but a general 3-5 inches look possible with a few spots topping 6. Those areas look to be our northwest counties at this time. Behind this system will be strong winds and brutal cold. Blowing and drifting will be an issue, as well as wind chill well below zero. Wednesday night I expect air temperatures to drop to 5-10 below, and thats not even counting wind chill! This week will be interesting to say the least.
