With 2015 quickly approaching, the obligatory resolutions and commitments to better yourself seem to be taking center stage. Some will splurge on gym memberships, others will make pledges to eat better, but here in Wyoming, we don’t care much for staying inside and cutting down. We’re all for seizing the moment and living life to the very last drop, whether it’s laying fresh tracks in our backcountry, catching that prize-winning trout, or spotting the pristine elegance of an elk herd. So this new year, to ring in 2015 the best way we know how, we’re urging you to get outside and explore the depths of Sweetwater County with “First Day Hikes“. First Day Hikes invites you and your family to get out in our great outdoors, breathe in the fresh air of 2015, and experience a place that offers the inspiration you need to start the new year on the right foot. In its fourth year, the tradition continues to prove itself as the ideal way to celebrate new years. “First Day Hikes have become a rejuvenating tradition for ringing in the New Year,” said Domenic Bravo, Wyoming State Parks Administrator. “It provides visitors with an opportunity to see our parks, trails, and historic sites from a unique perspective, while enjoying Wyoming’s beautiful winter wonderland.” With over 10,000 square miles, Sweetwater County has plenty of area to explore and kick off your new year in the great outdoors!
