With all the back and forth on Facebook lately over race and politics and religion and whether anyone is actually LISTENING to anyone else, Im reminded that the people whove really changed my worldview and made me see things from a different perspective are the ones with whom I have formed real relationships- Kelly Wickham and Polly Pagenhart and the late, great Gail Kerr come to mind right off the bat. I know these women and I trust them and Im always interested in what they have to say and I LOVE that they make me think and see and even act differently. If theres anything I wish that we could ALL do more of, its to seek out friends with different backgrounds, views and beliefs, both online and off-- This is where real, lasting change and understanding happens.
