With basketball rolling and the city missing the fire these young guys deserve its time for the DOAB JOURNAL to hit these gyms and do whats necessary pack the houses. Im going to start by featuring what I believe to be one on the best classes in the mainstream of Ohio basketball the Class of 2018. Ill start from Middletown to Cincinnati then Ill feature Dayton to Cleveland. 1st stop: 1.** E.J Williams 610 Center Middletown Highschool, Middletown, Ohio -Ive saw this young man grow into whats becoming a very versatile game for a kid his size. Seems to become a Lil more agile everytime he hits the floor. Will probably break a few records up there in Middletown. 2.** Cory Davis 63 combo forward Walnut Hills Highschool, Walnut Hills, Ohio -Very skilled player with a very simple game, does all the things a role player should do. Plays a great deal of minutes thriving on defending the basket. Deceptive shot blocker and very Hardworker. 3.** Omari Peek 65 Shooting Forward Walnut Hills Highschool, Walnut Hills, Ohio -Long athletic shooter that can fill the hoop up, limitless potential with this kid when he wakes up and realizes its ok to be mean. It will be interesting seeing where his game elevates to over next couple of years. 4. Isaiah Payton 61 Shooting gaurd Moeller Highschool, Cincinnati Ohio -Very athletic gaurd that transitioning possesses many skills with a consistent jump shot with decent range. Defends well and sound against pressure. Any other school in the city he plays varsity. Great hardworking young man. 5.** Jack Cravaack Power Forward Maderia Highschool, Maderia Ohio -Great post player and defender around the block. Possesses a solid inside game that will make outside a little challenging. Will be a great player and football has certainly put some size on him. Other productive freshman no particular other: Jackson See- Moeller D.J Brewton- Winton Woods Myron Williams- Sycamore Kameron Gibson- Walnut Hills Hunter Davidson- Walnut Hills Johnny Jones- Hamilton Kane Cooper- Winton Woods Tate Goodyear- Sycamore Hakeem Thomas-Woodward Johnny Miller- Reading Jack McCracken- Moeller Don Stock- St. Xavier Kevin Marklay- Moeller Jackson Obryan- Moeller I will revisit and update the list throughout the season.
