With the election on the horizon I think its no surprise the candidates Im supporting. With that said Id like to take a minute to elaborate on my top candidate. The change I have seen in the sheriffs department in the last four years have been astronomically for the better for this county and our community. Joe took office with one thing on his mind. How to make our home; a place where we all live, work, play, go to school, and countless other activities a better place? Some of the things I have seen personally. Things like building a solid foundation of great deputies and administration to allow the sheriffs department to go above and beyond for its citizens. Brought back the D.A.R.E program and made it a staple in the fight against illegal drug use. Not only educating our communities children in that aspect but making their entire education safer by staffing School resource officers in our schools. They also stood to protect the cities of this county during hardship. When small were left the unfortunate circumstance of not having police for their citizens deputies and the sheriff himself made sure that those places had protection it needed. The sheriffs department is now more highly trained and equipped than ever in the past. Now with an active swat team. The deputies also have county Issued equipment needed for day to day duties. All that and the sheriff still remains to be a community man with an open ear to anyone he serves and is proud to serve his home. The sheriff not only believes in his oath but stands by it to guide himself and each individual deputy to be the best individual possible not only in their career but in their daily lives. The department was rebuilt on experience, education, and integrity. I personally see the best sheriffs department since I have lived in mcminn county. The right man for the job couldnt be more clear. Vote 2014 Sheriff Joe D. Guy.
