With the news of a select committee making the rounds, there is already much speculation on who Boehner will pick to lead it, with U.S. Rep. Trey Gowdy, R-S.C., a former prosecutor, the odds on favorite. Gowdy spoke with Fox News host Greta Van Susteren Friday evening and shared his thoughts on who should be on the committee, naming U.S. Reps. Jason Chaffetz, R-Utah, and Jim Jordan, R-Ohio, as good choices. Referring to himself as a “washed up prosecutor,” Gowdy said he will serve as a “summer intern” on the committee, if that’s what it takes to get to the truth.
