Woke up this morning with this on my heart. I address a myriad of issues. From my place in Hip Hop, to Black folks place in the world. Hope yall like it. Thoughts Verse: Im not sure what to say, I let it pour...like spirits at celebrations, I cant ignore drunk off the energy of inspiration, patiently seeing myself grow so impatient Im chasing a fleeting dream, im losing steam, lost my drive the same time I lost my team so now it seems this wasnt meant for me, apparently my own demons have been sent for me and Im only telling you cause what its meant to me, still trying to figure out really if this was meant to be I know have the skill, I know I have the talent/ I know 10 years ago I was young and wiling But now it seem different, now it seem hard, now inconsistent Is all Ive got..ten and nothing to show, except one fly ass album from 9 years ago/ and 9 years ago, I had the dream, I had that vision, I had that steam You couldnt tell me nothing on my Kanye shit, Id black out on the mic like when Kanye flip President Bush dont care about black people, You aint got the answers Sway, ask Taylor swift and now theres this, Im almost 35, confused to whether hip hop is still alive and Yes I mean in general, look at the charts, and yes, it is personal, look in my heart I guess I started writing this to see if I still got it maybe I need medication my flow psychotic im right here, but my mind all over the place, like how the US going backwards in issues of race smile at a cop, you got a gun in your face, but only if you black, guess we best stay in our place Does hip hop even matter when we live in a world that condones killing for religion, little boys and our girls Boko Haram running rampant and nobody cares Nigeria a silent war zone cause nobody white there where are our rights here, I dont understand this, its happening so smoothly its like somebody planned this Ill leave that right there, No conspiracy theories right now, I want you to care All Im saying is wake up, get outta that daze, going to school for years to make minimum wage well thats what it feels like, I know that im rambling, would Ohio state revelers been called that if it were Grambling no they wouldnt and thats word to Awesomely Luvvie, thats the plain truth, they only do this because we descend from Royalty, we are Kings and Queens, now only if we knew that maybe things would seem out of the ordinary, wed stand up, more than just marching, wed man up, wed plan ta change the future of our people, show the rest of the world that we have no equals Not to say that they are bad, or anyones better, but we are the original people, nobodys better Plain as can be its plain to see, that we gon being fighting for life Lets channel our ancestors and all their passion and somehow make this shit right I just reminded me, I was talking blindly before I was not in my zone But kings blood is in my veins so it means Im destined to one day sit on the throne... #Blacklivesmatter #Nigeria #BokoHaram #Jesuischarlie #race #religion #Listen #Ohiostate #Kingsandqueens #MichaelBrown
