Woman of God...do you lack discipline in your life? As a child...who loved to be disciplined? But it was necessary! Can you imagine...raising a child & never disciplining them... how awful their life would be! Its no different for us as Christians! Proverbs is a great place to start looking for discipline & wisdom!! Its a great book to get words of insight....to gain a disciplined & prudent life...you know...doing what is right & just & fair!! The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom & discipline.” Proverbs 1:1-3; 7 While writing these posts...I have been gaining wisdom....I realize that advice is never ending...it goes on & on! Just like the lists of advice found in the book of Proverbs...there is not just one piece of information that will summarize living a good & wise & fruitful life...but a list!! You gain wisdom through living a disciplined life! The Word says, “Blessed is the man you discipline, O LORD, the man you teach from your law.” Psalms 94:12 Ok...its about to get REAL!! Some of us need to get off of Facebook & get our face in THE BOOK!! I want to challenge you to find verses in the Word of God on discipline & see how important living a disciplined life is to gain wisdom on how to live your life to the fullest! Living a disciplined life takes tons of practice & demands you to adjust your way of life...so that it places a value on spending time alone & in prayer with your Father...with other believers & in the Word. Its a heavenly investment in our relationship with Christ. It helps us to run to finish our race with endurance & perseverance. It is life full of joy...love...grace...& repentance. I know its very challenging...it is discipline...after all! When you truly seek discipline...both in receiving it & obtaining it...you will truly walk as a child of God & there...my Sister...is where you will find wisdom & favor!!
