Women Make Up Only 26% Of Nominees for 66th Primetime Emmy Awards The nominees for the 66th Primetime Emmy Awards were announced on Thursday and women were 26 percent of the nominees. Out of a total 1406 nominated across 72 non-performance categories, women were nominated 369 times, while men were nominated 1037 times.* The number is nearly identical to the ratio of female nominees for the last years Emmy awards which was 26.5 percent, despite a few changes this year in the number of award categories.** In an analysis conducted by Rachel Larris of the Womens Media Center found that male nominees outnumbered women, sometimes significantly, in 62 award categories – including 16 categories without a single woman nominated.
