Wonderful time in Washington DC at the conference of the National Association of Councils on Developmental Disabilities. Great speakers who challenged us all to work together & create healthy communities for our future. Exciting sessions on education, self-advocacy, employment, health & wellness, managed care, leadership and much more. Recognition of two true champions Santa Perez, Nevada and Gov Markell from Deleware...very impressive! As always, saw some old friends & made some new ones that I hope to work with in the future. Arizona was well represented & recognized for being innovative in the inclusion of persons with developmental disabilities in their communities and as decision makers.
