Wonderful, wonderful afternoon at Roswell! I saw lots of familiar - TopicsExpress

Wonderful, wonderful afternoon at Roswell! I saw lots of familiar faces, and heard so many good things about Phillips positive personality and grateful attitude. I also hugged people I never met. We had more flowers than needed for the departments and floors I had designated, so the Roswell coordinator, Bryan, and I went to the cafeteria. This spontaneous idea made my heart so happy! All 5 of the employees I had regular interactions with (grill cooks and cashiers) were there, and I loved being able to see them again and thank them. I explained that they nourished me, and it wasnt just with the food. We sent them back to get more people from the kitchen, and these folks were seriously blown away to be getting thank you flowers. One lady hugged me quickly and turned away, crying. The next guy was pretty young, and the first thing he wanted me to know was that her tears were sincere--she was being real. Then he was graciously thankful. He said he would take the pink ones for his wife. In that brief encounter he also wanted me to know that he went home every might and cooked for his wife and two little girls. He got 3 bouquets-- for the 3 females in his life he clearly adored. Pay it forward-- a small gesture of colorful flowers opened a door for a young guy, not much older than Phillip, to tell me how he loved his little family. So this evening a young wife AND two little girls got flowers unexpectedly. How awesome is that? Here is another really cool thing-- besides 150 bouquets, FLOWERS FROM PHIL raised money. There is thousand dollar donation for the hospital. We are working on that part. I do not want it to be given to research. It is a mere drop. I would like it to be used for individual hardships-- perhaps with the cost of daily parking or cafeteria coupons. The coordinator will provide a few more ideas. I will let you know how it is distributed. Thank you all for helping me thank so many people today. I really, really could not have done it without you...
