Words simply cant express how humbled and grateful I am for the huge turn out of audience members and great actors that attended last Saturday nights premiere staged reading of my brand new adaptation of the classic Helen Hunt Jackson story, Ramona. Emmy Award winners and TV and film favorites took the stage to read my vision of the beloved story I was entrusted with. The Arias Troubadours wowed the crowd with their brilliant playing, and Linda Greilich and Kathi Anderson almost stole the show with Lindas singing and Kathis amazingly moving read of the Senoras speech in Act 1. Thank you to the all star cast, and to our gracious hosts at the Wells Fargo Theater Jean Bruce Scott, Randy Reinholtz, and the Native Voices At The Autry theater group. They made the night something very special for me. To Lori VanArsdale, Tami Wilhelm, and the Ramona Bowl Amphitheater Association for throwing such a great reception and party. To artistic director Dennis Anderson and the production team of Ramona for taking on the heavy burden of support for this new idea. The laughs were all in the right places, as were the tears. I kept hearing the words Moving and Thrilling as I mingled with everyone after the show. Thank you everyone. It was a once in a lifetime experience, and no matter where my career takes me in the future, I will never forget it.
