Work gives me a lot of anxiety, and often an overwhelming amount. After receiving communion today, there wasnt a clear exit out of the alter area place, so I knelt and prayed so I wouldnt bust through like a jackass. One of the things I prayed about was about work and anxiety and that I would have proper focus and discipline to mediate the two. I returned to my seat and we went on with the liturgy. The next prayer had a line that jumped out at me, something to the effect of work as prayer (I wish I had kept the bulletin, but I felt pressured to recycle). Im not 100% sure what the phrase means to me yet, but I like it. Sometimes, even when I cant see the light at the end of the tunnel, its good to reminded that I am just in a tunnel, and that tunnel is part of something bigger. #grace4monday
