Working to bring a great British mark back to the track! We at Simon Green Motorsport have what is a unique opportunity for fans to be involved and be part of a great phoenix from the ashes story. Simon Green Motorsport manage one of only two Jaguar XKR GT3S cars currently in race ready condition and as a small independent company realised that we need a different way of funding getting this unique car back on track where it truly belongs. Q: “How are you going to do this?” A: Ok after the small team we have looked at various options we decided why not give a little back to the vastly knowledgeable and passionate motorsport fans we have in the UK. So rather than the fans seeking autographs from drivers and team members we decided why not collect the autographs from the fans. Q: “So how will this work?” A: It’s simple really we want the fans to autograph are car we can a lot space on the flanks of the car for the fans to come along on the Thursday and Friday of the event and autograph our car so we carry the fans with us through the race. Q: “but it must be at a cost?” A: Argh yes it is but we believe we have put together a package which with the signing of the car and the whole experience this is a bucket list situation. Consider for one minute when the pictures get televised globally and with the wonder of the internet, people will comment I wish I’d been part of that and for a select few they can truly say “I was!” The basic package we are offering is: 2 Tickets for the four days event the Dunlop 24hour of Silverstone in April 2015 Access on the Thursday and Friday to autograph the car, and have your pictures taken for your own posterity. Access to the pits, during convenient times during the testing, qualifying and race. At the end of the race the finishing driver will pick a name from all of those who have autographed the car for a track day where we will passenger ride the winner in a fully blown GT car. The fee to be part of this experience is just £65.00 per name. Currently we are working on some other items for fans to purchase to get themselves closer to the action. Q: “How do I signup?” A: A fully dedicated Facebook – ‘Bring The Cat Back’ page and paypal account will be going live to coincide with our final trackday of the season at Rockingham on Saturday the 13th of December 2014 where you can come and view the car running and meet some of the guys and girls behind the team. Then as drivers and other partners are announced keep you eyes out for other auctions and items which will all go towards the 2015 Britcar 24 Hour event and will be your opportunity to truly help #BringTheCatBack.
