Wow... Amazing! We, the world, lost such a great man this week. He has touched so many of our lives, young and old, and given us joy and laughter. Yet, now he has become the face of depression and opened the eyes of many, so they might have a glimpse of how widespread and severe depression can be. Having suffered with depression almost half of my life, it has pushed me almost to the brink of no return multiple times in my early years of fighting and hiding it. All in fear of what my family, peers, or even strangers might think or not understand the severity of depression and how it effects life day to day in everything you do. No one is without risk of developing depression, young or old, healthy or sick. Its a silent disease that if goes untreated can destroy you and even that of your loved ones. If you are dealing with depression, please dont hesitate to talk to someone or ask your doctor about it to learn more. Also, if you know someone fighting depression dont hesitate to talk to them and support them to seek treatment.
