Xiaomi, known as Chinas Apple, is working feverishly to become the largest smartphone manufacturer in the world. Last year, the company more than tripled its handset shipments to 61.1 million units. And the recent unveiling of two new models includes a new, compelling phablet that has spec junkies on their knees. The Xiaomi Mi Note Pro features a 5.7-inch screen with 1440x 2560 resolution, a 64-bit octa-core Snapdragon 810 CPU, and 4GB of RAM.Xiaomi is working on making it easier to switch from the iPhone to one of its new models. The dual SIM slot on the Xiaomi Mi Note supports both a micro SIM and a nano SIM. This means that many iPhone users can simply place their nano SIM card into the tray on a Mi Note to make the switch. There is also talk that the company is developing an app for the Apple App Store that will allow iPhone users to quickly sync their contacts list, and move data to a new Xiaomi handset. According to Xiaomis media development director, we could soon hear about a trade-in program that will allow consumers to trade in an Apple iPhone 5s(or even an older model) in good or bad condition, and receive a free Xiaomi Mi Note. Those trading in an Apple iPhone 6 or Apple iPhone 6 Plus would receive the drool-producing Xiaomi Mi Note Pro for free.If Xiaomis plan for world domination works, some day Apple might be known as the U.S. Xiaomi.
