YOU ARE GOD’S PLEASUREStella Dhinakaran May the favor of the Lord our God rest upon us (Psalm 90:17) The Dhinakarans Dearly beloved, The Lord takes pleasure in each one of you, His chosen people. So He will remove all your worries and burdens and make you happy. Since He is our heavenly Father, He wants to change each family into one that pleases Him and bless it. It is His desire that we should take pleasure in Him just as He takes pleasure in us. The Lord takes pleasure in those who do His will. The life of the Lord Jesus is an example for us in this regard (I Peter 2:21). When He was incarnate on this earth as a human, Father God looked at Him and said, This is my Son, whom I love; with Him I am well pleased (Matthew 3:17) What was the reason for Him to say so? According to the verse, “I desire to do Your will, O my God” (Psalm 40:8), the Lord Jesus accomplished the will of God His Father. Once His Father’s will was completely perfected in Him, He committed His life on the cross of Calvary, saying, “It is finished” thereby fulfilling the will of God and also receiving God’s pleasure (John 19:28-30). How can we receive the pleasure of the Lord? The Psalmist says, “May the favor of the Lord our God rest upon us” (Psalm 90:17)- thus prayed Moses, the man of God. Imprinting this short prayer in our heart, when we too pray each day early in the morning saying, “Let the pleasure of the Lord our God be upon me and my family,” surely the Lord’s pleasure will rest upon us every day. What should we do to earn the pleasure of the Lord? Dearly beloved, commit yourself to the Lord (Romans 12:1). He will wash and cleanse you with His blood, deliver you from all bondages and lack and transform you into His own child, pleasing to Him. For your sake, He will change your whole family into a pleasing one for Him. Surrender your life to the Lord Jesus Christ and seek His divine favour upon your life. Follow His footsteps and do His will. Then His divine favour shall rest upon you and bring His blessings into your life. Prayer: Loving Lord Jesus, I commit my life to do Your will and seek Your divine favour. You have left us an example to follow. Help me to follow Your footsteps and please You by doing Your will. Let Your divine favour rest upon me and bring Your blessings into my life. In Your matchless name I pray, Amen. ----
