YOURE NOT GOING TO VOTE?.? Heres my take. If you feel, as many people do, that the stubborn, dug-in, intransigent positions taken by elected officials are the cause of the gridlock in state and federal legislatures then by not voting, you are exhibiting the exact same behavior. Yes, Im going to be holding my nose when I vote for Governor in Florida next month, but its a clear choice for me of the least of 3 evils. This is how the world works. Compromise is civility at its finest. The Stones said it best You Cant Always Get What You Want. In fact, almost never. But for civilitys sake, dont sit on your principled hands on the sideline like some petulant child threatening to take your ball and go home. My father used to say do something, even if its wrong an oft repeated line for sure, but words to live by, for me. IM NOT VOTING- ? I just dont get it, and PLEASE keep quiet from now on because youre also abdicating your right to express an opinion of our sorry state of political affairs.
