Yall Rock!!!! Youre prayers worked and even sooner than we were expecting!!! So yesterday we had a follow up appointment with Masons GI doctor. We were taking about how Mason isnt gaining weight as fast as he should be, and I mentioned to him that his had a bad cough for a couple of weeks because his work to breathe can cause him to burn more calories than most babies do. So he took a listen to him and decided to call his pulmonologist. He was in the OR at the time but said hed come take a look at Mason after he finished his case. So we went and had a chest X-ray done and then his pulmonologist came and listened and said his lungs sounded junkyand the xray showed some stuff on it. He also said that Mason has been sicker than he wants and he needs to do a bronchoscopy to look inside his lungs. There can be patches that collect and cause infection. Theyll culture it to see which type of antibiotics will best treat the infection. He wants to do that this Friday. So I just asked him if we could possibly coordinate his eye exam at the same time. He was so sweet and said hed call the eye doctor and arrange it! Wow, amazing!!! I seriously cannot say enough good things about every doctor we see!!!! From his GI doctor making the effort to call his pulmonary doctor, who made the effort to come see Mason personally and call his eye doctor! God has blessed us with the best people taking care of us!!!! So thank you all SO much for praying specifically about getting Masons eyes checked.. Your prayers worked and its even sooner than we hoped!! Yay! Just wanted to update you and thank you all!!! Yall have a great day!! Hugs!! :)
