Yay for a good day and Day #314 of #livingthehealthyhabits was it! I want to thank Dianne Smith, for sending me a lucky penny she found, sent down from my Mom, who sent it down from Heaven to for Dianne to find, in Minnesota, to get it to me in a lovely card with love inside to make my heart feel better. Once I got it, it started a trend of good things;o) Ist I made a new friend through a bookseller group I belong to and then received 2 orders on our website, one which turned out to be from the new friend, Sheri, who wanted to shop from an Indie seller, yup a mom and pop store like mine and she had no idea she ordered it from me.... Coincidence or Karma??? Then I had an hour of Dad feeling good enough for me to get my walk in while he read and I decided to drive to the park where we held my Moms memorial service in search of ducks, who never showed up and iguanas who were there but only my daughter, Sarah, and her husband, Brady, saw them. That was one month ago today.WOW! Amazed how my Mom has been gone a month and I have had so little time to think about her in comparison to what would have been expected had I not been caring for my father. The month flew by so fast and I miss her so much but the memories have been great. I keep finding pictures and videos I have taken of her in the last year or so and they have brought my heart joy. She was such a character. She loved to go to the park to feed ducks and see critters, even though she was unable to walk much, it brought her so much joy to see birds, animals and be outside in the sun in her own little world. So today I set out to find those iguanas, and first came across the ducks, who forgot to attend that day even though we all brought bread for them. They litterally appeared within a few minutes of me setting out. Then a few minutes later, the HUGE iguanas were everywhere. I followed the path through a new golf course and took lots of pictures and several videos, though only one made the cute. Those guys are fast! They kept jumping into the canal, every single one of them, even when we were further away from the canal, we both ran fast! I made a large circle around during my hunt and realized I had to get back to where I started via the busy highway, and was amazed to see how much wildlife was at the entrance to the lnverrary entrance. Turtles, Iguanas, squirrels and ducks were all on display for me and this made me happy. Then my phone rang about half a mile away from where I was parked and a nice young man who was referred to me by his Mom, who was referred to her by her sister, from another sister who was referred to me by a doctor in Pennsylvania! Needless to say, it was my pleasure to help another person start their journey to getting healthy... yeah, I was tickled it was a family affair that has been going on for 2 years now! Stuff like this makes my heart soar! Got home to take care of said new client and then see my email saying I made it and won the 6 week challenge along with a ton of team mates and we got to all share in the pool of $103,280 smackerinos!! Yup, it was a good day! Dinner was a turkey burger lovingly prepared in a bed of onions and buffalo sauce along with a big Smelser salad... 10,000 steps in and this girl is going to go find a bed! All because Mom sent me a penny..... or because I am living my life right. Maybe both.
