Yeah, this guy has a point, but I dont think he considers people who just prefer to pick their own battles and avoid unnecessary conflict. If Im nice and compromising, its not because Im spineless and letting people walk all over me, but rather because I think everybody should pick my own battles based on their own priorities. I just dont see the point in getting upset over something that is really not that important. If something is important enough to me and I can see a constructive purpose to engaging in conflict over it, then yes, I will attempt to take action that is practical for the problem I seek to solve. Otherwise, I have learned (often the hard way) that most of the time things are often best left unsaid unless there is a reason to say it, i.e. a good reason that goes beyond just the desire to validate your own ego.
