Years of working in extremely noisy conditions has impacted my hearing quite a bit and as a result, I have difficulty hearing some sound ranges. Really difficult to hear voices on TV or movies, so I always use Closed Captioning if its on a program. Now, the folks who translate the voice tracks will short cut, not a problem but they also make a lot of spelling errors. Some are perhaps excusable, for instance, Sangsberrys for Sainsburys. Not familiar with UK terms. But what is unforgivable, and the is the worst to date, Benile for, Banal. I mean, cmon. How can someone be hired to do captioning and not be familiar with the word, Banal. Perhaps Im just being too anul.....
