Yes, Susan Serino, you did initially cast a vote against the new energy tax, before caving to party pressure and voting for the final budget bill which included that energy tax. Maybe this action caused GOP bosses to recognize that you would be a perfect puppet for them; your party bosses forced opposing Republican candidates Rolison, Tkazyik, and Coughlan to withdraw their names from nomination, meaning there would be no Republican primary--not exactly showing respect for rank and file Republican voters or our democratic process. More evidence showing Susan Serino to be a puppet of the Republican hierarchy: You are very willing to allow GOP party bosses to put out campaign material misrepresenting the truth on your behalf. The last time I looked, Board of Elections Financial Disclosure Reports show you’ve received over $800,000 in funding (in donations over $1000), overwhelmingly from the State Republican Party, NYC, and Long Island interests (while at the same time alleging thatTerry Gipson has a “New York City agenda.”) You have evidently been told not to show up for candidates’ forums. You didn’t bother to submit your positions on issues to the League of Women Voters. I suspect that any positions you have were chosen for you by GOP bosses. I’m voting for Senator Gipson, who has been a strong advocate for the Hudson Valley, and who has brought 64 pieces of legislation to the Senate floor in his first two years. In your three years on the Dutchess County Legislature and in your time on the Hyde Park Town Board, have you written any legislation? onyourballot.vote411.org/race-detail.do?id=12746886#.VEhBQslx-Ck)
