Yes let us rejoice today as we celebrate the Birth of our Saviour - TopicsExpress

Yes let us rejoice today as we celebrate the Birth of our Saviour who is Christ the Lord. It is good to celebrate His Birth for that was the day Grace, Love and Salvation came down from heaven and entered into this world in the form of a man, The God Man, Jesus. But we also must never forget why He was born. He was born to die, to be a ransom for many, to be the first fruits of resurrection. To be a substitute for you and me and suffer the just wrath of God the Father upon sin, your sin and my sin. He came to make a way, to show us the Father, to show us the way to be reconciled to God, to redeem us. Gods grace giving to us as a free gift which must be and can only be received by faith in the way, the gift, Jesus Christ the only begotten of the Father. The only way, the only Truth, the only life, eternal life with God and abundant life in Him here on earth. Thank you Father for your gracious gift. Thank you Jesus for your sacrifice. There is no greater gift or love! John 3:16 (KJV) For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Matthew 1: 18-25 Now the birth of Jesus Christ was on this wise: When as his mother Mary was espoused to Joseph, before they came together, she was found with child of the Holy Ghost. 19 Then Joseph her husband, being a just man, and not willing to make her a public example, was minded to put her away privily. 20 But while he thought on these things, behold, the angel of the Lord appeared unto him in a dream, saying, Joseph, thou son of David, fear not to take unto thee Mary thy wife: for that which is conceived in her is of the Holy Ghost. 21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins. 22 Now all this was done, that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, 23 Behold, a virgin shall be with child, and shall bring forth a son, and they shall call his name Emmanuel, which being interpreted is, God with us. 24 Then Joseph being raised from sleep did as the angel of the Lord had bidden him, and took unto him his wife: 25 And knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name Jesus. Mark 10:45 For even the Son of man came not to be ministered unto, but to minister, and to give his life a ransom for many. Luke 19:10 For the Son of man is come to seek and to save that which was lost. John 10:15 As the Father knoweth me, even so know I the Father: and I lay down my life for the sheep. 1 John 3:16 Hereby perceive we the love of God, because he laid down his life for us: and we ought to lay down our lives for the brethren. youtu.be/IfpK6cNPF7Y
