Yesterday I had the great privilege of Volunteering as an On-Course Scorer for the University of Minnesota Gopher Invitational. What is most impressive: not that these young men can bomb drives consistently 300 plus yards, or that one of the gentlemen made 7 birdies at a tough track, Windsong Farm Golf Club, or that their iron shots hover around 7 feet from the pins, ALL THE TIME. What is most impressive is that these young men played without complaining, EVER! Good shots, bad shots, bad breaks. These guys are just plain GREAT YOUNG GENTLEMEN. Great tribute to their coaches at Notre Dame, VCU and San Francisco; and to their own character!
