Yesterday Nigeria celebrate her 54th independent anniversary. Our parents &grandparents have told us that; in the past, Nigeria is a country full with opportunities, hopes & prosperity. Because, after the independent, the first set of Nigerian leaders provide selfless services to the nation & laid good foundation for great and prosperous Nigeria. However, today, some of our leader have succed in bringing Nigerian down. To the extend that some of us prefer colonialism. Because, some of our leaders are colonialists with African skin. The cruel & maltreatment they meted against fellow countrymen & women is very inhuman. Some people even argued that colonialism is far better than present Nigerian leaders, because: colonialists provide jobs, provide qualitative education. Provide roads & railways for easy tranportation of the masses. Above all, they voluntarily give independent to Nigeria in a flatter of gold without bloodshed or violence. In contrast, the present leaders were failed in all respect. They looted the treasury, corrupted the education system, failed to create jobs for jobless youths. Institutionalised corruption in all sectors, failed to provide good means of transports. Above all they use violence and bloodshed as a part of strategies of capturing political offices. Despite all these shortcomings, i believe one day Nigeria will overcome all these problems and become good, prosperous and disciplined country where everyone will be pround of. I cheerished my country. HAPPY INDEPENDENT DAY.
